"It is good to look to the past to gain appreciation for the present and perspective for the future. It is good to look upon the virtues of those who have gone before, to gain strength for whatever lies ahead. It is good to reflect upon the work of those who labored so hard and gained so little in this world, but out of whose dreams and early plans, so well nurtured, has come a great harvest of which we are the beneficiaries. Their tremendous example can become a compelling motivation for us all" -Gordon B. Hinckley

Every year since I can remember I have made a list of New Years resolutions. Like many people I end up not being perfect overnight and so I feel like a failure and sometimes even regret setting the goals in the first place. This year, however, I only have these two words that keep floating around in my head.
About my time
About my food choices
About my words
About how I spend my money
About how I teach my children
About how I nurture my marriage
I could go on and on...I really hope that I can just live more deliberately this year and try and find more joy in the choices I make and not more regret at the end of each day.
I hope you have all set some realistic goals for yourself this year. I'd love to hear what your main ones are! 😘
Got a fancy new disc put in my neck last week. I am starting to feel human again. 🙌🏻 Nothing like being forced to slow down and rest to make me realize how many angels I have in my life. I am so humbled and thankful for all the help and prayers from so many this past week. 😘
My sweet daughter drew this for me last night. She keeps asking me all kinds of questions about the country and our system of governance. It's been interesting to say the least. At least for a brief moment I can create a home where she feels safe, loved, and free to be a kid. There will be plenty of time for her to have to "adult" later on... #kids #election2016 #gladitsover #finally #usa #staylittle #motherhood #motherhoodthroughinstagram

Someday all too soon the toys will be put away, the costumes boxed up and the sound effects from this silly boy will be quieted. The drool will eventually stop and the legos won't make me want to curse out loud when I step on them. These days are hard and long...but they are ever so worth it. I want to never forget this stage with my sweet little boy. My little hulk/batman/ironman boy who has a crush on Judy Hopps from Zootopia. 😘 #mymiles #staylittle #ironman #childhood
☀️Tried to soak up the last of summer today. How is it possible that it is September tomorrow??? ☀
